Reasons to teach children about agriculture

Agriculture is one of the most important sector of world. It covers a huge part of world's economy. Children are those soft hearten parts of human, who have the capacity to change the world. So if we can teach them about the most important part of our livelihood (Agriculture), that may help people to see the world it in a new way.

Reasons to involve children in agriculture

  • Fast learner: I guess everyone knows that the children are the gift of god and they are very excited and interested about learning new things and for these nature of them make it easy for the children to learn anything easily and in a shorter time.

  • Connection with food: By teaching them about agriculture we can develop interest of different food among them and which will help them to eat various nutritious food.

  • Connection with people: Agriculture is a sector where we have to meet different kind of people for different works . So by teaching this subject we can connect them with different people and they will get a good habit of connecting with new people.

  • Make connection with nature: As now the technologies have improved, the children also forget how to play outside of the house. So by leaning agriculture they will feel the Nature and it will become a different kind of game also for them.

  • To understand the importance of agriculture: It is very important for the children to understand the importance of agriculture. We have to teach them about the farmers and their hard work in the field to provide food at proper time, which may make them understand that food wasting is not good. Also they will learn about how to love and take care of the crop fields.

I guess if we start educating the children about agriculture from very early age, it will help to make their mentality better about agriculture. So my suggestion will be for all the teachers and parents to teach the children about agriculture in their early ages, but also my suggestion will be not to involve them much in agriculture or in any other work which will be referred as  'Child Labour'.
