Roof gardening

Do u have a roof over your head????

I think everyone have it...whatever the size it carry that doesn't matter.

Now  the next thing is for what purpose you are using it???

I know, for drying cloths, storing water drums or for a place just for spending some time in evening.

But,you actually can use that roof for some good purpose

like gardening. Yea that's a very very good thing

and you will also get some benefits from it.

Now-a-days maximum people doesn't have enough space so no one thinks about gardening. But trust me you can do a great farming on your rooftop also. That's a very exciting time-pass. I just can't explain the happiness when  something grows in the plants which i have planted. You can try it once.

As we all know the climate is changing and deforestation occurring due to several human needs. We should take the "Go Green" moto very seriously. Yeah to lead in that campaign also you can start these roof or terrace farming.

Some importance of roof gardening may nurture your thinking, like-

If you have children at home, this gardening will surely fascinate them towards helping in this crop growing, they will start loving those plants, that will fill positive energy inside them. Also they will get a practical knowledge about crop growth. In you own garden, you can replace the chemical pesticides with organic one, and they will help you to get fresh and good quality harvest, which will be full of nutrients and less toxic for both environment and your family health. When our rooftop will be green by plants, they will reduce the dust particles present in the air and also they will reduce the pollution percentage from the surrounding air.The materials what you have used during the making of your roof, gets highly effected by the heat and temperature. excessive heat and sometime rain also reduces the lifespan of those materials. By going green you can cover a part or whole roof which will reduce the damage of your materials. You can store or directly use the rain water, that will also reduce the excessive water cost for gardening. The combination of soil and plants also can absorb, reflect or deflects the sound waves. so you can also get less hampered by the noise pollution.

A study by the National Research Council Of Canada found that an exposed roof can get as hot as 158 degrees F on a sunny day; an identical roof, when covered by a green, shady roof garden, stays relatively cool at just 77 degrees F.

See these little creatures are carrying the burden of your home and building. So what are you thinking? Go and bring some soil and water, put some seed of hope on them and give your home a better environment.
